On Tuesday, July 1 we open our doors for a special week of joy for lovers of magical jewels. Alongside our current show Jewels To Die For we have an exquisite collection of talismanic treasures by the fabulous Lisa Black. A seasoned globe-trotter, Lisa has built on what she calls “foresaken remnants from a disappeared world”, honouring them in unique contemporary designs.
Lisa Black at Jewels On Queen
10am – 5pm Tuesday – Saturday
July 7 – 11
Originally from New York, Lisa has been creating gorgeous works for the past few decades in her garden studio near Byron Bay. Her love of jewels began when she found a shoebox full of treasures left behind by her grandmother who was a restaurateur in the fabled diamond district of Manhattan and would often accept jewels for payment during The Great Depression.
Lisa’s jewels have been exhibited previously at our Mothership Anne Schofield Antiques and we’re thrilled to have an exotic selection of her more recent pieces on display this week only.
